Using Modified Differential Evolution Algorithm for Finding Arbitrary Roots of Polynomials

This paper presents an improved differential evolution (DE)algorithm with first-two rule and a self-adaptive mutation. This improved DE is proposed for finding arbitrary (real or complex) roots of arbitrary (real or complex) polynomials. Three high degree polynomials are tested. The results show that our proposed improved DE algorithm can find all roots of polynomials with any degree, are more efficient and feasible in finding the arbitrary roots of arbitrary polynomials.
