3-D Grab Intelligent Design System Based on Case-Based Reasoning

As a main handling device, the grab is widely used In many industries.To be more competitive in the increasing intense competition of grab manufacturing market, companies must take kinds of measure to short products design cycles while improving products quality. In considering the characteristics of grab product design,the thesis put forward the method to integrate 3D design and case-based reasoning (CBR) for the grab design. According to the method, the case is defined as case graph and case feature, which is retrieved and matched through nearest neighbor method. The initial design will be firstly accomplished through case-base reasoning on the base of SolidWorks and its secondary development. And then case-modified will be carried on until the requirement such as kinematics analysis, interference check will be meet. At last, a set of threedimensional grab design system is developed. A type grab design case also is illustrated as case that proves the method and the system valid.
