An Algorithm of Background Reconstruction Based on Morphology and PIC

Aiming at the problem that the tradition background extraction method could not precisely extract background when moving objects have high density or appear too frequently. This paper presents an algorithm of background reconstruction based on morphology and pixel intensity classification (PIC). The algorithm classifies the pixels in each frame into background area and moving objection area using three frame differences and Morphological analysis. Then filtered foreground objection when reconstructed background with PIC that improves the frequency of background, so the background could be rebuilded properly. The experiment result shows that the proposed method in this paper could extract accurate background in high density of vehicle.
