Alterations of the ECM in Ovarian Carcinogenesis Studied by Second Harmonic Generation Imaging Microscopy
We have used Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) imaging microscopy to quantify alterations in the fibrillar collagen assembly in ex vivo human malignant and normal ovarian tissues. We integrate 3D imaging measurements, bulk optical parameter measurements, and Monte Carlo simulations to isolate the structural factors that are different in these tissues.
