The ideas of establishment of transformer replacement plan based on risk management
We predict that many pieces of equipment will outlive their usefulness in the future, because we constructed a lot of equipment during Japan’s period of strong economic growth in the 1970s. Therefore, it is necessary to replace equipment that outlives its usefulness, but it is difficult to replace a lot of equipment at the same time in consideration of scheduled outages and operational restrictions. There is also concern that service reliability may decrease because of aged assets. Therefore, it is necessary to balance out the amount of equipment to replace and systematically replace it over the long-term to avoid a decrease in service reliability and operational restrictions1. A new method for selecting transformers to replace in a balanced manner was put together, and is introduced in this paper.
