The Development of On-Line Stability Analysis System in Hubei Power System
The newly developed on-line stability analysis system in Hubei power system of China is introduced in this paper. The on-line stability analysis system is designed to protect the power system from instability caused by disturbances. The configuration and function of the system is described in the paper. All the analysis programs are dispatched by the distributed calculation management platform. The system analyzes the steady and transient stability of the Hubei Power grid based on the real time data. SVG format pictures of substation and power plant, SCADA data and grid model based on the IEC 61970 standard are collected from EMS system. The control measures used in this system now are generator rejection and load shedding.
