Temporary Migration of Chinese Rural Labor

More than 200 million labors (peasant-labors) totally migrate from countryside to city in China, which has a big impact on the overall progress of China especially the ongoing economic transition. Using theories of economics, management studies, and new economics sociology, we analyzed the migration of peasant-labors from the angle of microscopic, medium, and macroscopic view such as human capital, family factors, social network, and policy environment and found these factors are main reasons for temporary migration of Chinese rural labor. These comprehensive analyses would give us a better understanding about the different aspect of the migration so that the regularity of the migration of peasant-labors would be explained more objective, and deeper. These new interpretation and instruction will shed new light into the practical activities regarding the regulation of the migration of peasant-labors.
