Empirical Study of Si Chuan Rural Laborers Out-work decision and Anticipated Wages Based on Financial Crisis
Rural laborers out-work decision and anticipated wages are probably one of the most significant measurements to check the effect of the world-wide financial crisis to the rural laborer work and migration. This paper used the Heckman two-step approach to analyse the Sichuan rural laborers out-work decision and their anticipated wages. Data gathered in Sichuan rural communities show that the that it is important to consider the inner and external aspects of rural laborers when econometrically analyzing the go-out work decision and wages anticipation of rural laborers especially based on the specific background such as financial crisis. Furthermore, the results indicate that both the work decision and wages anticipation are chiefly affected by the characteristics of age, the length of returning time, governmental supporting policy. As well as the characteristics of gender, the length of working time, comparison of wages is the distinct influencing factors.
