Safety and deformation analysis for the complicated underground excavation of stope
One complicated large underground stope is modeled with the numerical simulation software SURPAC. Then the three dimensional model is transferred into the numerical calculation software FLAC3D for calculation. During the calculation, the excavation procedure for the stope is simulated, the settlement of the roof and stability of the rock mass surrounding the stope are analyzed to find out which excavation step has the largest impact on the deformation and stability of stope. Then the analysis results can give some guidance for the real practice.
