The Effect of Technological Parameters of Sequential-Valve-Injection Molding on Weld Line Position Control

Sequential-valve-injection, an important plastic injection molding method, displays a great potential of controlling and eliminating the weld line. In this paper, the effects of technological parameters of sequentialvalve injection molding on weld line position control are researched. The result shows that both the opening time of valve gate and the injection time bring a greater influence on the weld line position control than other parameters, such as the mold surface temperature, the melt temperature and so on.
