Design of the Distributed Framework and Dataflow Process for Urban Road Traffic Information Systems
The advanced traffic information system (ATIS) is an important component of the intelligent transportation system (ITS). To investigate road traffic information systems of Chinese medium-developed cities with bottleneck of traffic congestion. The urban road traffic system of Dalian city in China is chosen and investigated. Firstly, the importance of service elements in traffic management information systems, such as information publication and traffic navigation, is analyzed. Then a distributed physical framework is proposed for traffic information systems of medium-developed cities. The proposed system integrates data acquisition, data processing, data transfer, data storage, data dissemination and data security. By redesigning distributed physical framework and dataflow process, the efficiencies of data storage and publish are improvead. Combining with corresponding software systems, the public service levels of urban traffic information system can be efficiently improved by the proposed methoad.
