Efficacy of Guiding Signs in Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub Based on the Uncertainty
Passengers normally need the help of guiding signs when they are transferring in a comprehensive passenger transport hub. The essential function of guiding signs is to induce passengers to quickly select the right route. In this pa per, the uncertainty of route choice behavior of passengers, during passengers transferring, was taken as a breakthrough point. By applying entropy function, a method based on the uncertainty was proposed for evaluating the efficacy of guid ing signs in the comprehensive passenger transport hub. At last, an example was taken to explain this method which can be easily used to calculate the effectiveness of single sign and streamline.
