The research on the mechanism of limiting speed pick-up and set-out train on railway transportation capacity loss
Pick-up and set-out trains refer to these trains marshaled in technological station, serving for vehicles flow in the district, whose pick-up and set-out operations are done in intermediate stations in the district. Running of limiting speed pick-up and set-out trains has an impair on railway transport capacity and research on railway transport capacity loss mechanism for limiting speed pick-up and set-out trains is the core content of that on railway transport capacity, which has an extremely significance on reasonable organization vehicle flow and improvement the traffic efficiency. The factors of railway transport capacity loss caused by limiting speed pick up and set-out trains are analyzed in order to explore the relationship among these factors. From different levels, factors that contribute to railway transport capacity loss are also analyzed quantitatively. The cellular automata theory are applied to build up cellular space and change rules of railway transport capacity loss for limiting speed pick-up and set-out trains as well as to describe the cellular states in the study. With computer simulation, the capacity loss characters of limiting speed pick-up and set-out trains are depicted and the loss mechanism of railway transport capacity caused by limiting speed pick-up and set-out trains is also put forward. Based on these, the evaluation model and algorithm of railway transport capacity loss for limiting speed pick-up and set-out trains are devised to calculate the capacity loss. Finally, given the district between Shanghai Fuliji-Eastern Bengbu, the capacity loss rate of limiting speed pick-up and setout trains is calculated to evaluate railway transport capacity loss in the district.
