Comparison of lterative IOM Approaches for Optimization of Biological Systems under Uncertainty
This paper considers the optimization problem of biological systems represented by the S-system formalism under uncertainty. Two iterative IOM strategies, the standard iterative IOM method and modified iterative IOM approach are compared for a tryptophan biosynthesis process under experimental uncertainty of the kinetic orders in Ssystem. The modified iterative IOM approach is proven to be very attractive. Its ability to deal with measurement error is also shown.
