A Numerical Method for Solving Linear Two-point Boundary Value Problems

We present a new discrete scheme for solving boundary value problems for linear ordinary differential equa tions with constant coefficients or variable coefficients. Our approach works directly on the approximation of polynomials which coefficients related to higher derivatives. In particular, we can transform a general system to essentially diagonally dominant form according to this discrete schemes. Preliminary numerical results show the effectiveness of this method.
