Design and Optimization of HTS Magnets for SMES Applications
This paper introduces the design and optimization of high temperature superconducting (HTS) pancake-type and solenoid-type magnets. The practical results obtained provide the technical base to develop a HTS magnet prototype for superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) application.
