A Comparison of egress performance according to the Fire Floors in Hotel of other four Floor-types using Fire and Evacuation Simulation program
Hotel buildings have been changed to the multipurpose buildings which are moved away from the previous simple accommodations. When taking a view of the prevention of fire, the people using Hotels have troubles escaping from initial fire. Because of they are unspecified individuals and have no information as to the hotels. Also, the part of guest-rooms in charge of accommodations is constructed with the high sound insulation system focusing on privacy of individuals. So, it is hard to incite evacuations in their sleep. Therefore, the floor-plans of the guest-room in hotels are classified into 4 types in this research. The evacuation performance of the four hotels was respectively analyzed from a horizontal and vertical point of view. Zone model fire simulation, CFAST was based on the guest-room floor in four hotels. The result from the simulation applied to building EXODUS, the one of the Evacuation simulation programs. Through such processes, this paper is intended to furnish the fundamental materials when planning Hotel buildings which are able to minimize the damages and protect individuals and their properties.
