Simulation of Heating & Cooling Load of Rooms of Brick Wall Houses on Intermittent Operation

In Japan brick structure is not so popular as construction structure because of the regulation against earthquake. But recently new brick structure which is strong enough to Earthquake is developed and we could assume several different kinds of wall structure using this brick structure such as the wall with of without airspace. This study is aimed to explain the effect of the wall structure on a temperature of rooms and a heat load using dynamic simulation. We here compare and analyze the three cases, which are sealed airspace type, non-sealed airspace type and no airspace type between the bricks and the sheet with water-proof and moisture-permeating of the wall structure consist of brick, sheet with water-proof and moisture-permeating, insulation, sheet with moisture-proof, and plaster-board. We use THERB (Simulation Software of the Hygrothermal Environment of the Residential Buildings) as the simulation which can calculate temperature of rooms, relative humidity, absolute humidity, sensible heat load and latent heat load calculated by per 180 second. Then heating and cooling load of a year is calculated by sensible and latent heat load of rooms.
