Numerical Simulation and Analysis on Flow Field of Ball Valve
This paper firstly used the pre-processing software GAMBIT to generate and simplify the calculation model and adopted the T-Grid format to divide the model into grid. Then use FLUENT software to simulate the three-dimensional separated flow of electric ball valve. On the basis analyzed the internal flow field of different valves opening and gave several conclusions as follows : when the opening of the ball valve is equal to 20° , the vortex appears and the entire flow field is controlled by reversed flow and there is a pair of equal size vortex to control the flow field of valve core, it is the opposite direction. When the ball valve opening degree continues to increase, the vortex size increases with the opening degree of sustained increases when the ball valve opening degree is greater than 70 ° the entire flow of the vortex flow is disappeared. The flow coefficient increases with increasing opening degree as parabolashaped, the greater the opening degree, the faster growth.
