Empirical Research on Development of Square Frame Wooden Structure of Thinned Cedar
Wood is material that fixes carbon dioxide in long term. If we use wood more and more, it leads to the reduction of emission of carbon dioxide. In Japan wooden construction, especially wooden houses are very popular as detached houses. But we relay 70% of all the wood in the domestic construction field on imported wood. One of the reason that Japanese cedar, planted all over Japan, is not used so much in the construction field is the lesser intensity as construction materials in comparison to other imported lumbers. So we here propose the Square Frame Wooden Structure, which makes Japanese cedar lumber from thinning possible to be used as structural materials. This Square Frame Wooden Structure is a kind of wall structure in which walls, floors and roofs are all made up of cedar lumbers which are put in successively
