The Influence of Stress Concentration around the Notch Tip on Fracture Model of Structure Steel

In order to research the influence of stress concentration of metal materials on the fracture and the fracture design. First use complex function to get the stress expression on the crack tip of structure steel plates with notch in the uniaxial tension;then tensile experiments were tested on six structure steel plates with notch. The experimental results indicated that the initial fracture appeared on the specimen surface of notched groove where stress was concentrated, then crack extended along the direction of thickness and width, finally, the macroscopic crack was formed in stress concentrated positions;At last, compare numerical simulation dates of the ten structure steal plates with notch, the results indicated that the stress on the crack tip was obviously larger than that on other positions.
