Control Strategy Design for Multi-Domain Distributed-Controlled Optical Network
As large-scale applications continue to grow, there is a need to provide lightpath across multi-domain optical network. Nowadays, researches on lightpath provision are mainly under centralized-controlled network model. We argue, however, that future optical network should be distributed-controlled .In this paper, we first analyze the differences between centralized-controlled and distributed-controlled network. Then we present novel control strategy called First Inter-domain Last Intra-domain (FILI) for distributed-controlled model. At last, performance results show the ability of FILI to reduce lightpath establishment time and blocking probability.
