Influences of metal oxides on the formation/destruction of PCDD/Fs during combustion of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol in a model incinerator
The influences of metal oxides on the formation/destruction of PCDD/DFs during combustion of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol(2,4,6-T3CP)gases were investigated by passing through over a metal oxide bed(5% by mass metal oxide/silica powder)over a temperature ranging of 300-800℃ using a quartz tube reactor The evolved gaseous analyses showed that 1,3,6,8-and 1,3,7,9-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxins(T4CDDs)were the predominant products, with the maximum yield at 650℃. In the TCDD formation-temperature curve, during combustion of 2,4,6-T3CP gases by passing through the silica gel bed alone. The maximum peaks in the TCDD formation curves were shifted to lower temperature ranges than 650℃ after passing through 2,4,6-T3CP gases over CuO/SiQ and Fe2O3/SiO2 beds In contrast to the 2,4,6-TCP gases-CuO/SiO2 and Fe2O3/SiO2 reactions, the presence of CaO and ZnO in the bed decrease the yields of TCDD formation over a temperature ranging of 300-800℃ Similar TCDD formation curves that obtained for 2,4,6-T3CP gases alone were observed for the reactions In simultaneous induction of CuO or Fe2O3 and 2,4,6-T3CP into the quarts tube reactor.
