SIMULTANEOUS DETERMINATION OF BISPHENOL A、ALKYLPHENOLS AND THEIR ETHOXYLATES IN WATER AND SEDIMENT OF SONGHUA RIVER, NORTHEASTERN CHINA
A method has been developed and validated, that in order to assess the occurrence of alkylphenols and alkylphenol ethoxylates: 4-tert-octyphenol (OP), 4-n-nonylphenol (NP), nonylphenol mono- to di-ethoxylates (NP1EO, NP2EO), bisphenol A (BPA) in water and sediment samples. The survey was preceded by liquid-liquid extraction for water samples and soxhlet extraction for sediment samples, clean-up and derivatization procedures for the simultaneous GC-MS determination of all examined EDCs. The limits of detection (LOD) of all the target compounds were 0.052~1.2ng/ml. Mean recoveries were higher than 76% and 72% for all the target compounds in water and sediment samples, respectively. Relative standard deviations (RSD) were 6-13% for water and 8-15% for sediment. The concentration of OP, 4-n-NP, NP1EO, BPA and NP2EO, in water samples of Songhua River were 1.84~15.28 ng/L, 0.18~6.82 ng/L, 6.06~126.09 ng/L, 8.84~329.47 ng/L and 4.68~123.30 ng/L, respectively, and the concentration in sediment samples were 0.69~7.92 ng/g, 0.27~59.54 ng/g, 4.11~696.61 ng/g, 5.12~27.75 ng/g and 9.32~269.76 ng/g dry weight, respectively.
