SIMULTANEOUS DETECTION OF PAHS IN FLY ASH BY HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY-FLUORESCENCE
A solid-phase extraction-high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence (SPE-HPLC-FL) method was developed for simultaneous and highly sensitive detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the fly ash. The detection limit and the recovery for each PAH are in the ranges of 0.37- 1.9 ug/L and 56.5%- 127%, respectively. Using the developed method, the effects of combustion temperature of raw coal on PAHs formation were also investigated. The total amount of PAHs produced at 800℃ is much higher than that obtained at 600℃ and 1000℃.
