Development of a transient kinetic model for CO oxidation by O2 over rhodium catalyst
A transient kinetic model based on elementary reaction steps for the CO/O2 reaction on rhodium catalyst has been developed in order to simulate the experimental data with CHEMKIN. The transient experiments were conducted at 200, 250, 300 °C respectively over a Rh catalyst under short lean (60s) and rich (5s) cycles. The cyclic feeding experiments yield information about reaction mechanism. The experimental responses can be well described by this elementary-step reaction mechanism.
