Application of NAC in IEC 61850 communication security

摘要：

With increasing openness, especially IEC 61850 involving network communication being development trends and the only standard, network security will be more and more critical. Network Admission Control (NAC) is a roles-based method of preventing unauthorized network access and improves network resiliency when faced with risk. It can be used to implement identity-based access control at the network level to protect valuable resources and assets; support guests and temporary workers; enforce security policies on all devices (managed and unmanaged); and help improve their overall security. To ensure IEC 61850 communication security, this paper presents the ways how to use open-source software NAC to strengthen the communication network security.
