The Electric and the Thermal energy control on the cogeneration system using LabView

Cogeneration system produces simultaneously the electric power, hot water and steam from the same fuel source. A customer is able to use the electricity and the heat from the cogeneration facility. Regional Energy Research Institute for the Next Generation (RERI) is to develop a small-scale, an environmentally-friendly and stable small nuclear reactor. The newly designed REX-10 (Regional Energy Reactor with 10MWth) has been developed to maintain system safety in order to be placed in densely populated region, island, etc 2. In this paper, we modeled the simulated the cogeneration system with 3 computers. One works as server and simulates the Heat-Power control center another simulates REX10, the other simulates electric load. The server and clients communicate with via internet. In order to facilitate the graphic expression and the hardware control, we used LabView as the programming language.
