Paralleling Frequency Difference Setting inPower System Restoration
The paralleling operation between generator and system, even between bilateral systems, will cause frequency oscillation since the system scale is small in the initial period of power system restoration. In addition, variable system structure also increases the paralleling complexity. By adjusting the setting value of automatic synchronizing devices reasonably and promptly, the accuracy of paralleling can be improved. This paper presents a simplified model to simulate parallelingoperation. Based on a step-by-step simulation, a curve describing the relationship among frequency oscillation amplitude, frequency difference and rotary inertia ratio can be obtained. The frequency difference setting value of automatic synchronizing devices can be determined based on this curve. Simulation results of Shandong Power Grid in China demonstrate the proposed method is feasible.
