Short Circuit Current due to Increase of Dispersed Generators Interconnection

In cases when short circuit fault occurs on distribution line, short circuit current is broken by opening circuit breaker on its distribution line. However when large capacity of dispersed generators are connected to distribution system, short circuit current is larger. Short circuit current be at risk of exceed rated breaking current. On the other hand short circuit current be decreased and drop below setting value short circuit fault is at risk of become undetectable. There are many studies on the increase of short circuit current by increase of dispersed generators interconnected to distribution system. But, there are few studies on the decrease of short circuit current. This paper proposes quantitative analysis result of influence of both increase and decrease of short circuit current by enlargement of dispersed generators capacity interconnected based on the numerical calculation on distribution system model. In addition, this paper proposes analysis result about possibility that at the short accident in another line wraparound electric current from dispersed generators of adjacent line is generated and circuit breaker of no fault line operates by mistake.
