Load Flow Method for Distribution System and Its Application for High Penetration of PV Generation
Recently demand for photovoltaic generation system (PV system) which uses no fossil fuel has been increasing because of the environmental problems. However the reverse power flow from generators causes over voltage of distribution network when large amount of PV systems are connected to it. To prevent over voltage for a high penetration of PV, it is needed to control output of generators. But the effect of control variable differs to the places in the system. Therefore a new method is proposed in this paper that can make this difference flat as far as possible by not restricting power factor of the generator, and also presented simulation method we developed that calculates load flow of high and low voltage distribution system altogether with PV system connection. The effectiveness of the method is shown by the demonstrative voltage simulation when a plenty of PV system are connected to low-voltage distribution system.
