Modeling and Implementation for Line Protection Device Based on IEC 61850
This paper analyses the functional hierarchy of line protection device at the top level. The line protection consists of five virtual logical devices: System, Control, Measurements, Protection and Records. Using a top-down design mode, splits functionality of each logical device into components blocks and assigns them as logical nodes. The implementation process has two parts: model definition and data sourcing. Model definition introduces bottom-up process mode to define Data Classes, LNs (Logical Node) and LDs (Logical Device). Data sourcing is a mapping process to associate data member of classes to internal variables. Also the paper discusses ICD and MICS files for configuration and conformance test purpose.
