Study on Synthetic Test Method for UHVDC Thyristor Valves
Operational test is an important measure which can guarantees safe and stable operation of UHVDC thyristor valves. By analyzing relevant IEC standards and UHVDC thyristor valve specifications, operational tests are classified into two categories. On the basis of the classification and analysis of existed test methods, two operational test circuits are proposed. The proposed test circuits can satisfy the test requirements of all operational tests for UHVDC thyristor valves, with wide test objects and high test equivalency, which therefore can provide substantial support for the R&D of UHVDC thyristor valves and their engineering applications.
