Verification Experiment of Multi Objective Power Factor Control of Photovoltaic Generation Systems

In this paper, the authors propose a control method of power factor of photovoltaic generation systems (PVs) from viewpoints of maximization of total active power output of PVs and minimization of distribution loss. In proposed method, power factor of PVs is controlled from 0.85 to 1.00 and all of the node voltage in distribution network is controlled within the proper range. Optimal power factor is determined so as to maximize sum of total active power output of PVs. When there are two or more combinations of power factor of PVs with maximum total output of PVs, power factor of PVs with minimum distribution loss is used as optimal power factor. In order to check the validity of the proposed method, the proposed method is applied to distribution network equipment (ANSWER: Active distribution Network System With Energy Resources).
