Geo stress study of Jinping II hydropower station region considering historical tectonic process
Jinping II hydropower station is an important cascade station of Ya-Long River in Sichuan province. The region of hydropower station is typical V-shaped river valley morphology. Tectonic movement, including Indo-Chinese epoch movement, Yanshan movement and Himalayan movement, made the region preserve prodigious horizontal tectonic stress. But, the corrosion of Ya-Long river leads to figuration of the “V shaped valley and release of tectonic stress. To understand the effect of inter dynamical geological process and outer dynamical geological process to current geo stress of Jinping, a new nonlinear back analysis method of initial geo stress is presented, which integrates the strata denudation simulation, numerical elasto-plastic calculation and neural network inversion. The method takes the geo structure order process into account by elasto-plastic calculation and simulates the strata denudation process by surface excavation. The method includes several steps. Firstly, a numerical model including immemorial plantation surface is build up in a large area. Secondly, the given displacement boundary conditions are applied on the model in order of tectonic movement time and the balance is gained by elasto-plastic calculation. Thirdly, surface excavation is carried out to simulate the stratum corrosion, the “V shaped valley and the current geo stress field of Jinping II hydropower station region is obtained by several excavation calculation. In the method, the “the given displacement boundary conditions is recognized through nonlinear mapping from measured geo-stress with artificial neural net.
