The Patent Protection of Financial Innovation

摘要：

Financial innovation,regarded as a combination of hightech,computer programs and internet commerce plays an important role in the progress of financial industry. As we all know that patent protection is an important method for invention based on information technology. Promp ted in part by the decision of the U. S. Court of Appeals for“State Street,patent activities among financial serv ices firms began to soar in the late 1990’s. In comparative way,this paper reviews the scope and standard of a patentability of financial method in some countries. It also analyzes the status quo of patent protection of financial innovation in China.
