Strategic Human Resource Management and Knowledge Creation Capability
This paper explores how strategic human resource man agement (SHRM) can be used to build and support knowledge creation capability and the relationship of knowledge creation capability and innovation by empiri cal researching on 83 high-tech companies. Based on theory of the knowledge-based view of the firm,organiza tional learning and knowledge creation,and strategic hu man resource,it suggests a prescriptive model for crea ting organizational knowledge-creation eapabihty. The results indicate that the human capital acquisition,reten tion and motivation as a part of the SHRM system affect knowledge creation capability and innovation finally. But the effect of human capital development and organization structure on knowledge-creation has not identified.
