The Influencing Factors of R&D Investment of High-Tech Firms in Optics Valley of China
The increase of R&D investment is condusive to the enhancement of technological innovation capability. This paper firstly constructs the concept model of R&D in vestment influencing factors in terms of finn size,age of finn,innovation level,expert,financing capability and government support. Secondly,combining with the inno vation survey in Optics Valley of China in 2006,it picks out 132 high-tech finns to identify the key factors affect ing finn’s R&D investment. Results of the study show that firm size,innovation level and financing capability are the main factors affecting the behavior of R&D in vestment( involving R&D expenditure and R&D person nel),while the age of finn is not. Export and financing capability are the main factors affecting only R&D ex penditure,both of which have in significant impact on R&D personnel. This study shows that the firm should elevate export level and the government should enact more harmonious policies for talents introduction.
