Exploration on Technical and Environmental Efficiency of Farmers’Fertilization in China
The technical and environmental efficiency of farmer’s fertilization is explored and estimated in this paper. According to the characteristics of agricultural production and market,the DEA model is applied to calcu late the technical and environmental efficiency of fertili zation in the first step; in the second step,maximum likelihood techniques(MLE) and other two types of re gression models (random effect regression and flied effect regression) are used to estimate against a variety of technology,physical environment and management varia bles,based on the panel data of fixed farm households survey carried out by the Price Bureau of Jiangsu Prov ince in the middle of Jiangsu province from 2001 to 2003. Policy suggestions are given according to the conclusion from the empirical exploration.
