Research on the Competitiveness of Steel Industry in Hebei Province Based on Self-organizing Data Mining Technology
In this paper,the competitiveness of steel industry in Hebei province is analyzed and evaluated using the selforganizing data mining technologies with comparative a nalysis method. Firstly,the GMDH( group method of data handling) algorithm is used to generate the steel industry’s competitiveness evaluation model,and at the same time,the evaluation index system and their weights are also obtained. Then we can evaluate the competitive ness of steel industry in Hebei Province compared with other provinces/cities,such as Beijing,Shanghai,Liaon ing & Sichuan,with the Analog complexing method,and then the comparative competitiveness position is ob tained through the analysis. At last,we can come to a conclusion that Hebei province,a large one in steel industry but not strong,is needed to do more to improve its competitiveness of steel industry,such as drawing on experiences from Shanghai city and Liaoning province which are more strong in this industry.
