Classic Linear Regression Model for Forecasting in Supply Chain Systems

摘要：

Forecasting is an ancient activity and has become more sophisticated in recent years. Forecasting demand is a key tool in managing uncertainty. Forecast accuracy may depend on the understanding and coverage of parameters taken into account and the accuracy of historic data a vailable for each variable that may have an impact on the prediction. In this paper,we propose a model for forecasting with potential broad spectrum applications that include supply chain management. That is classical regression analysis model. We hope to improve accuracy of forecasts.
