An Improved Generalized Predictive Control Algorithm Based on PID

Based on the analysis of PID algorithm and Generalized Predictive Control algorithm (GPC), the performance index of Generalized Predictive Control algorithm was restructured as PID form. The derivation of PID-type Generalized Predictive Control algorithm (PIDGPC) was given. The influence of PID type Generalized Predictive Controller parameter tuning on system performance was analyzed in time domain with simulations. Compared conventional Generalized Predictive Control algorithm, PID-lype Generalized Predictive Control algorithm has better control performance.
