An Advanced Control Method for ABS Fuzzy Control System

The purpose of an antilock braking system (ABS) is to prevent wheel lockup under heavy braking conditions on any type of road surface. In this study, multifactor input, dψ/ ds and (dψ/ ds)/ dt, are proposed in the fuzzy controller. This new method not only offers a better braking performance, but also improves the pedal pushing feeling. At last, the design is simulated in Matlab/Simulink environment. And the results indicate multifactor input offer a good braking result and improves the active security when the automobile brakes promptly.
