THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF DEALING WITH THE SEEPAGE OF XINWAN RESERVOR EARTH DAM
Xinwan Power Station is located in Qianshui Town, Huaiji County, Guangdong Province and its total storage capacity is 60,600,000 m3. In August to November in 2007, during the water retaining period, serious leakage problems have appeared in auxiliary dam. The height of exit points of seepage flow is high. The dam body produces bogging and distortion and then 45o miter cracks are formed. The cracks are wide and dense, some of them are extend to dam crest. Moist, depression and unevenness have appeared in multiple sites of downstream slope. Distortion and cracks in dam slope show uneven settlement and landslide.
