STUDY ON THE OPTIONS OF SUSTAINABLE QUALITY PADDY RICE PRODUCTION OF LIAONING PROVINCE IN SAFEGUARDING CROP FARMING
Liaoning Province as the main production base for commercial crops is the key northern production area of paddy rice which serves as the main food for both rural and urban population and as one of the key crops occupying the important position in Liaoning farm production.Therefore paddy rice production plays the dominating role in maintaining and safeguarding the national cropping system.At the present，there are 9.7 million mu of paddy field representing 18％of the provincial total cropping production area with an output of 4，605 million kg representing 27％of the provincial total cropping production. Although the paddy farming area is less than 1/5 of the total cropping production area.the paddy output represents nearly 1/3 of the total crop farming to be one of the maj or factors in maintaining and safeguarding the cropping system.
