RESEARCH ON THE EFFECT OF LAND SUBSIDENCE UPON FLOOD-DISCHARGE CAPACITY

Nowadays，land subsidence has become a major geological disaster in Tianjin.The serious land subsidence caused the synchronous subsidence of the dikes，and the reverse slope caused by regional uneven subsidence greatly reduced the functions of flood-prevention and tide-proof as well.As a result，dangerous pans of the hydraulic engineering occurred，and the overall anti-disaster function was reduced.In this paper,based on the analysis of the effect of land subsidence on the elevation of dikes and sluice gates，a series of consequences and losses caused by the subsidence of the dikes have been further studied.
