High Growth, High Inclusion: supporting women into enterprise
The emerging importance of women’s enterprise on the international economic agenda is increasingly being understood by governments and business support organisations. It demands an imaginative response from science parks, particularly in the light of the changing gender balance of the ‘talent pool’ upon which they have traditionally relied. We argue that science parks are still very ‘male focused’ in terms of their marketing and their services and that they must adapt their practice if they are both to exploit the full market potential for their services and to connect more effectively with the socio-economic ‘eco-systems’ within which they operate.
