Ecological Cluster and Innovation Policy

A Cluster is a network structure the know-how, resources and cooperation of which raise certain business activities of the network to a prominent position in the national and especially the international market. The ecological cluster is a part of modernization, sustainable development and its structural change in all sectors of community policy, but especially in environmental policy and as a part of innovation policy. In Finland, ecological entrepreneurs are divided in to eight (8) groups and consumers into six (6) principal segments. These are located according to the two main axis sets eight parallel to factors I and II or factors IV and V as multidimensional groups. The former main axis direction has to do with the environmental and nature relations of the entrepreneurs, the business know-how, moral and ethical ties and the degree of innovation (=the link to the product or consumer).
