International and Intersectorial Mobility of Researchers as a Key Element for the Development of Science Parks: a European Perspective
In response to the challenges posed by globalization and by the knowledge-based economy, the creation of favourable conditions for the mobility of highly skilled human resources, ideas and technologies, as well as mobility between the public and private sector are considered the main factors of development and innovation processes. This presentation includes an overview of the European context. Furthermore the focus is on actions and strategies developed by AREA Science Park (Trieste, Italy), emphasizing the central role of human resources, mobility and technology transfer. Finally the paper presents the project for a IASP network of Science and Technology Parks, that is aimed at implementing international and intersectorial mobility.
