Tsinghua University’s Practice Industry-University Cooperation and Industrialization —Viewpoint from Tsinghua Science Park
(0) PREFACE From our experience and practice at Tsinghua University, we developed Tsinghua Science Park to enhance the collaboration between university and industry, and to facilitate technology transfer. As you know, making direct contribution to the development of the country by accelerating the technology transfer has become extraordinarily important task of universities. Especially, during the modernization of China, universities has become the focus point which the society pays attention to, thus the social service functions of universities are gradually manifesting themselves. We expatiate this on the following four parts. First, the Function of universities in China, and their roles in our nation’s social and economic life; second, the Characteristics of technology transfer conducted by Chinese universities; third, the practices conducted and achievements made by Tsinghua University; and the last, what are the problems and challenges we are facing in Tsinghua, and our solutions.
